Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James certainly played a significant role in the USA’s journey to the gold medal during the Olympics. His performance throughout the tournament earned him the Olympic MVP.
LeBron James had a great game against France too as he recorded 14 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds. The USA eventually won the game against France with the final score being 98-87. The USA secured the gold medal for the fifth consecutive time. However, after the finals, LeBron James faced an unusual encounter on the streets of Paris. James and company were going out to celebrate their victory and were surrounded by fans as soon as he exited the car.
Through the crowd came a young fan who wanted to take a picture with James but he was refused by James in a very tense exchange. James even said, “Stop. Don’t do that,” in a harsh tone. James’ behavior with the young fan didn’t sit well with many people. Recently on Fox Sports Radio, Rich Davis slammed James for his arrogant behavior with the fan. He was surprised by the tone of James towards the young fan.
My first instinct was ‘yeah, gotta give some people space.’ But the more I thought about it and looked at it… Just take a listen to the tone in LeBron’s voice… The fans are what make you, and when it comes to kids, that’s different.. You’re in Paris for one last day after winning a gold medal. I just thought it was a weak-a** look.Rich Davis via Fox Sports Radio
Davis might have a point in his criticism of James, who could have refused the fan’s request for a photo in a much more polite way.
LeBron James talks about teaming up with Stephen Curry
LeBron James and Stephen Curry have been one of the most fierce rivals in NBA history. Recently both James and Curry were selected to represent Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics. They certainly delivered on all expectations and even went on to win the gold medal.
Recently in an interview with BasketNews LeBron James talked about playing alongside Stephen Curry. James stated how good of an experience it was playing alongside Curry.
I've seen it before. In different uniforms. It's good to be on his side, You just marvel at his talent. Obviously, I've seen it before, you know, on the opposite side. But having him on your side, you just try to get stops and figure out other ways on the other end, but keep finding him, keep getting him the ball.LeBron James via Basket News
It was truly a great experience for all the basketball fans seeing the two legends team up together. Both stars sure did create many memorable moments for all the fans.
