Mark Henry has had a longstanding working relationship with Vince McMahon. He first joined WWE in 1996 and worked with The Boss for more than two decades before departing for AEW. The Hall of Famer knows the former chairman very well and recently had a lot to say about him.

Appearing on Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, the World’s Strongest Man said that McMahon has been going through a tough time due to the Janel Grant lawsuit. During his time in WWE, the 53-year-old had never heard so much negativity about the chairman. The worst thing that Vinnie Mac ever did to Henry, which infringed on business, was play a joke on him

The Hall of Famer often received criticism for being insensitive due to his comments regarding the Grant lawsuit. He was told that several people had suffered a lot. Henry responded to these comments by saying that their suffering only worsened when the money ran out. This is referring to the fact that Grant was taking payments and gifts from Vince McMahon to hide her story. However, when he stopped paying her, she filed a lawsuit against them.

Like, where was the suffering when they were getting BMWs and a million dollars? Did that pacify the suffering? Because if you are suffering, you should suffer all the time, right? Nothing should get in the way of that. I don’t know. I just come from a different time.

Mark Henry has been the talk of the town over the past week. He has made several public appearances and was present in the front row during the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. Furthermore, his son, Jacob Henry, recently signed with WWE and will be joining the roster in the near future.

On the same show, JBL chimed in with his opinion after Henry’s comments on the situation. He shared the same sentiment as the former AEW talent when it came to his personal bonding with the 78-year-old. He claimed to have a deeply personal relationship with McMahon and said that it was fantastic.

JBL clarified that he had no idea what had happened with Janel Grant and her former boss and was fully unaware of the truth. He did not mean to diminish anyone’s suffering. However, McMahon’s interactions with him and any of the ‘old guys’ were always positive.

I’m just telling you about my personal relationship. That’s all we can speak about. I had a personal relationship with Vince and it was fantastic. He was very good to me and very good to a lot of the old guys that he didn’t have to be good to.

Mark Henry added an anecdote regarding this comment. He often saw McMahon call various wrestling legends to his shows just so that they could get a payday. He would bring in 10–15 legends to the show and hand all of them a $1500 paycheck. Although he wanted a historical presence at these events, he always wanted to do what was right by them.
